Since its founding in 2011, kay me, the brand behind “Yui,” has been supporting women who take on challenges around the world. At the heart of the brand lies a strong desire to help women facing challenges live “more comfortably, more authentically.” “Yui” carries forward that spirit — born as wellness-tech wear that brings moments of balance and the beauty that comes from confidence to the busy modern woman.
Founder’s Story
The answer inspired by hard work
Born from founder Kemi’s own experience as a hard-working professional, “Yui” is wellness-tech wear designed for women who work. As a former consultant, Kemi often struggled with shoulder tension and fatigue caused by long hours at her desk and frequent business trips. She realized that true drive doesn’t come from self-sacrifice for success, but from first learning to love yourself. With that insight, she named the brand “Yui,” expressing the wish to cherish the one and only, irreplaceable “me.”

Giving shape to the true voices of working women
At kay me, about 80% of management positions are held by women. Female leaders and team members in their 20s to 50s—each navigating different life stages—came together to share their real, everyday concerns: cold sensitivity, shoulder stiffness, wrinkles and loss of shape, and the constant challenge of balancing beauty with comfort. Through in-depth discussions based on these real voices, we developed wear that helps women avoid carrying the fatigue of one workday into the next. “Yui” is wellness wear born from the perspective of working women themselves — a truly solution-driven creation.
