Line Cardigan
Five reasons
people love the Line Cardigan

1
Slip it on
and look put together
Less stiff than a jacket, smarter than most cardigans. Slip it on and you're ready for a visitor at short notice. A cardigan for almost any day.
2
The line collar
lengthens your look
The straight line of the collar looks neat and brightens your face. It draws the eye down, so it lengthens your silhouette with a dress or trousers.

3
Covers you to the neck
against the winter chill
In a chilly office or on the move, the line collar covers you up to the neck and keeps you warm.
4
Keeps its shape
wash after wash
Machine washable, slow to crease and holds its shape. A hard-working cardigan you can wear without a second thought, however busy you are.

5
Packs
small
Light, slow to crease and folds up small, so you can count on it when you travel or are out for the day.

What our customers say

My job keeps me on my feet, and kay me jackets are so light and smooth that I stay comfortable even on hot days. When I sweat, they don't cling. If anything, they seem to keep it down.

Celeste

A cardigan can feel a little too casual, but this isn't too formal either. It's polished just enough, and I love it. I feel confident wearing it on stage.

kay me suits stretch so well that I stay comfortable even after hours in them, which really helps. The lines are clean too, so I never look sloppy.
Lawyer / Head of a law firm

I always take a kay me jacket on business trips. It never feels tight on the plane, and it doesn't crease in my bag.

I was moved by how beautiful the silhouette is, and how it flatters the figure. And it really doesn't crease, so I always look ready.

What our customers say
Polished enough
for days a jacket is too much
It isn't quite a jacket, but the design looks as if it has a collar, so it looks smart and works well for my job. My shoulders never feel stiff in it either.
A cardigan that
doesn't crease
I travel a lot for work, so this will be useful. It's also rare to find a cardigan that goes with a dress, and I feel I've finally found one.
So easy to wear,
I wear it all the time
I work in several places, including hospitals and schools, and it fits in wherever I wear it. It also looks good over a T-shirt on ordinary days.
The navy I'd waited for,
easy to wear with anything
The cardigan I wear with everything now comes in navy. I keep it on at my desk and change into a crisp jacket for meetings. It's washable and light, and I use it all the time.
You can see and feel
the quality straight away
The colour and size are just right, and it looks refined. Very useful. The sewing is careful and solid. I'm thinking of getting another colour.
My office cardigan,
always there for me
I keep it at the office and slip it on for visitors and meetings. The colour and length go perfectly with kay me dresses, and I use it all the time.
Styling ideas

1
Made by artisans across Japan

Every kay me piece carries the pride of craftspeople across Japan: dyeing in Kyoto, knitting in Niigata, sewing in Tokyo. We combine regional tradition with modern techniques to make clothes that look good and work hard.

2
Shape built in by design

A clean, three-dimensional silhouette is worked out down to the last detail. Patterns are split into small panels, with fine gathers and drapes. Prints are placed precisely, and each piece is cut by hand, one at a time.

3
Made to stay with you for years

Stretch fabric sewn with stretch thread takes real skill. Each panel is held by hand, the thread changes for each part, and the fit is adjusted to the millimetre. There's no room to redo a seam, and that care in every stitch is what makes it look sharp and feel easy to wear.
